The Beautiful and Challenging Dance of Relationships

I recently watched the movie, "Shall We Dance" and loved it! To me, it sends such an important message about how we sometimes are reluctant to share our true feelings with each other because we are afraid of hurting our partner. This movie illustrates how important it is that we learn how to do this and are willing to risk opening our true selves to our partners. That's what the dance of relationship calls for. It calls on us to be open, willing to risk being seen and that even if we are not sure how to do it we are willing to be vulnerable and share our most intimate selves with our partner. This leads to true intimacy!

The following clip are some of my favorite scenes from the movie, where John Clark opens up to his wife. Watch it and witness the beauty and connection that comes from opening up, sharing your intimate self with your partner and taking the risk of learning a new way of relating. It is truly moving and so very beautiful!
